For those who love the great outdoors, there are lots of sporting fields in Goonellabah, as well as a secret rainforest walk hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city. To find Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Gully, enter the path at the corner of Kadina Street and Oliver Street and discover a beautiful sub-tropical rainforest, open grassy areas and sparkling ponds. You might even spot a platypus!
 
Conveniently located inbetween Lismore and Chilcotts Grass, Goonellabah locals can easily access the conveniences of the CBD or drive a short way to spend a day in the nearby coastal towns of Ballina or Byron Bay.
