While South Lismore has fantastic ease of access to neighbouring suburb Lismore CBD, you can find plenty of your daily necessities taken care of in the main streets of this suburb. On Union Street or Casino Street you’ll find a fantastic bakery, convenience store, newsagency, petrol station, post office, pharmacy, pie shop, beauty salon, gym and a classic pub with a bottle shop for easy after-work drinks. While enjoying a cold one at the Station Hotel, peer across the road to spy a famed old icon of South Lismore – the now closed Lismore Railway Station, which was open from 1894 to 2004.

It’s easy to keep active or entertain the kids in South Lismore on a sunny day with two parks in the area. Nesbitt Park has a great outdoor playground, seating and a 1km walking track, while Riverview Park has a large open field and cricket nets, and is home to many local athletics carnivals.
